Birth to Literacy
The ATLAS Early Learners program is built in three phases, each with its very own specific purpose that equips children from birth to 3rd grade with everything they need to achieve 3rd grade literacy. Why 3rd grade literacy? An individual's education is linked to a multitude of life conditions including long term health, income potential, and even life expectancy… and according to research, the most powerful lever we can pull to improve a child’s educational outcome is reading and writing by 3rd grade. Studies have shown 3rd grade literacy to be the single most important predictor of high school graduation. We believe if we can get students to this point in their academic journey, we are not only helping them in school, we are effectively contributing to changing their entire life for the better.
ATLAS has identified 3 outcome based targets that ultimately lead to this end goal, each built on the success of the prior:
Infant and Toddler Development
Kindergarten Success
Reading
With these metrics in mind, ATLAS Early Learners has been built in three phases to partner with parents in producing these three specified outcomes as children develop from birth to 3rd grade. Children begin at birth in Infant Toddler Tech. At 2 1/2 they begin their transition into Primary Prep. Then finally, once they have mastered all their competencies, they progress to ATLAS Academy that will bring them to 3rd grade.
