During the first appointment of the month, children are introduced the brand new activities that will reinforce the competency they are currently working on. No matter how long it takes for the child to master a given skillset, our program is designed to give him or her exactly what they need for as long as they need it! Toward the end of each appointment, the parents will participate in that child’s learning activities so they are equipped to lead their child in those same experiences from home until their next appointment.

The second appointment each month is what we call our “Show and Tell appointment”. During this time, the specialists lead the child to drive the activities they worked on since the last time they were together. Not only does this serve as a great tool to reinforce the skills in the child, but it also is a unique assessment tool for our specialist to gauge the progress of that child AND build a plan for their next steps. These appointments continue through Kindergarten until the child has mastered all 12 competencies ATLAS has established in partnership with the schools to ensure Kindergarten success!

After the 1st appointment of each month, the child and their parents bring home a Primary Prep Resource Kit that contains specifically designed reading and activities aimed at the competency that child is working on. Resources also include activities that reinforce other competencies that have already been accomplished in order to keep that child sharp. Parents receive parent cues that are built to guide them in leading their child in biblical truths and scripture in a way that is catered to developmental appropriateness. Children bring these kits back to their 2nd appointment for their “Show and Tell” time with the specialist.
